Hello Again!

I have just returned from the first residential week of my fellowship at the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine. Spending the week with more than 70 like-minded physicians and nurse practitioners was rejuvenating, encouraging and thought provoking (to say the least!).

Along with new information and an exciting beginning on our 2-year journey as fellows, we explored our individual and collective passion for optimum health for ourselves, our patients, and our world. We found common ground in discussions of political and environmental influences on health, and fostered our hope for change! My commitment to empowering/educating individuals for self-care along the wellness continuum is stronger than ever!

Peace,

Jan

Live in rooms full of light
Avoid heavy food
Be moderate in the drinking of wine
Take massage, baths, exercise, and gymnastics
Fight insomnia with gentle rocking
or the sound of running water
Change surroundings and take long journeys
Strictly avoid frightening ideas
Indulge in cheerful conversation and amusements
Listen to music.
